The calculation
Trailing allowance = initial balance × plan trailing percentage. High-water mark = the greatest authoritative equity observed since the account began. Floor = the greatest previous floor or high-water mark minus allowance.
Intraday trailing follows net liquidation equity throughout the day. It does not wait for a daily close.
Trailing allowance = initial balance × plan trailing percentage. High-water mark = the greatest authoritative equity observed since the account began. Floor = the greatest previous floor or high-water mark minus allowance.
Initial balance $25,000; allowance 4% = $1,000; initial floor $24,000. When equity reaches $26,200, including open profit, the floor rises to $25,200. If equity returns to $25,300, only $100 remains.
The high-water mark persists across trading days. The published trailing rule continues without a stop-at-initial-balance cap. A falling balance or UTC reset never reduces the floor.
Accounts are USD denominated and the five instruments quote in USD. Quantity is underlying units, not broker lots. Published commission and financing are zero and slippage is 0.05 basis points. No realized payout adjustment is applied because sandbox requests do not remove virtual trading equity; a commercial adjustment policy must be approved.
Equity at or below the floor triggers server-side liquidation at the available executable bid/ask and marks the account breached. A gap can produce a loss beyond the floor; the floor is a trigger, not a guaranteed fill price.
On a 25K Standard account, the trailing allowance is $1,000. A new equity high raises your floor immediately—even when the profit is unrealized.
